Futura Germany

Passion for pest control since 2002

As a strong family business, Futura operates independently of investors and can think in terms of decades. Based in Germany, we develop and distribute technologies and solutions for modern pest monitoring and sustainable prevention.

Today, around 30 employees work together to make pest management more efficient and transparent using digital technologies, intelligent sensors and data-based analysis. Our systems are now in use in over 60 countries.

Long-standing customer relationships form the basis of our success. Many partnerships have existed for many years or even decades - a sign of trust, continuity and the joint further development of our solutions.

We are convinced that technological innovation, solid values and long-term thinking will help to actively shape the transformation of our industry in the coming years.
5000 + networked monitoring devices worldwide

Networked monitoring devices worldwide

Digital infrastructure for modern pest monitoring

Futura develops technologies that combine physical monitoring devices with software, connectivity and data analysis. Our systems enable continuous monitoring of monitoring points and provide companies with reliable information about pest activity at all times.

Today, more than 100,000 networked monitoring devices are in use worldwide. They continuously supply data from production facilities, logistics centers, industrial plants and branch networks.

Step by step, this creates a digital monitoring infrastructure and database for modern pest management. Instead of isolated controls, companies gain continuous insights into activities, trends and potential risks.

This combination of hardware, software and data analysis forms a scalable technological basis for preventive and transparent pest management.

Futura stands for innovation, responsibility and partnership-based cooperation - today and in the future.

As an independent company, we continuously invest in research, development and product quality. Our aim is to develop technologies that prove themselves in daily operation and offer our customers real added value in the long term.

Consumer products with professional DNA

In addition to our professional B2B business, Futura has also been active in the end customer market for over 20 years.

With the Futura Shop, we operate one of the established specialized online stores for pest control and hygiene solutions in the Home & Garden sector. We offer products specially developed for private households, including sustainable solutions such as beneficial insects and biological applications for environmentally friendly protection of the home and garden.

Under our GreenHero® brand, we also develop and sell innovative products for animal care and pest control – for both private and professional use.

In this way, we combine technological expertise from the professional sector with user-friendly solutions for consumers and cover both professional and private needs holistically.

In addition to our own online store, these products are also available via various marketplaces.

Personal proximity, global delivery capability, regulatory security

Futura Germany stands behind all brands as an independently operating company with clear responsibility for development, quality and customer relations.

Together with strong national and international partners, we work hand in hand to ensure the highest standards in technology, production and logistics.

We support our customers personally – from the initial inquiry through to long-term collaboration. As an active industry player, we are regularly represented at national and international trade fairs and are in constant contact with the market, science and practice.

Development, packaging and shipping are all in our hands. Thanks to modern processes and sound regulatory expertise, we ship our products worldwide in accordance with current legal and industry-specific standards.

We see increasing regulatory requirements and growing demands for sustainability, transparency and efficiency not as a challenge, but as a driver for innovation and continuous improvement.

Outdoor station for the Tubetrap 2.0

RunBox Smart

In outdoor areas, rodent paths usually run along edges and walls. Professionals estimate that mice are more common than rats in around 40 to 50 percent of relevant situations. The Runbox Smart serves as a robust protection station in which the Emitter® Tubetrap 2.0 is operated safely. With its space-saving placement directly on the wall, the station becomes part of the natural walkway, which increases acceptance and boosts the hit rate.

Companies that rely on us

Take your outdoor rodent control to a new level.

In practice, it is often the case that not only rats but also mice are active along walkways in outdoor areas. According to professional estimates, this affects around 40 to 50 percent of relevant cases, depending on the location. This is precisely why a station that reliably addresses both rodent species makes sense.

Emitter Cam in the bait station,
makes the rodent trap digital

Take your trap catch to the cloud, with our Emitter Cam with AI detection.

Do you use a lot of impact traps in an industrial environment?
Then use our Snapbox for mouse traps or Vanguard for rat traps with our patented Emitter Cam, which sends you several images a day from the secure trap station.

Our emitter AI analyzes these images in seconds and only sends you a push message via app or email when your trap has been triggered and a mouse/rat has been caught or the trap has been triggered without a catch and needs to be re-set. So you never miss a catch – perfect for large industrial operations or supermarkets where 100% control is important.

Emitter® Beep

Emitter® transmitter for mice and rat traps

Emitter® Beep - the acoustic pest detector

Emitter® Beep is the “smoke detector” for mice and rat traps. When a trap (such as GorillaTraps® Mouse Trap or Rat Trap) is triggered, you immediately get a clearly audible alarm tone that sounds again every 30 seconds until you deactivate it by pressing a button. Emitter® Beep is easy to use.

There is only one button to activate and deactivate the device. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to switch on and press it once briefly to deactivate or switch off. Emitter® Beep fits perfectly into all our mouse and rat stations.

The sophisticated technology eliminates false alarms. Emitter® Beep can be used in all stations and wherever traps are installed: Private homes, offices, cellars, supermarkets, warehouses, etc.

Robust rat trap for professionals

Rat trap from GorillaTraps®

Animal welfare

According to the German Animal Welfare Act, the suffering of animals must be prevented as far as possible, even in beating traps.

Suffering free for the animals

The suffering of animals must be prevented and impact traps should therefore meet strict criteria.

Reliability

In professional pest control, impact traps must be reliable, efficient and safe for humans.

GorillaTraps® -
The brand

Honestly, we never wanted to build traps. But the search for the perfect trap for our digital emitter sensors and Nara® monitors finally led us there, because we couldn’t find anything in the world that met our standards. German engineering meets scaled production of arguably the highest quality professional traps in the world. We are proud to be the only impact trap for mice to receive §18 IfSG certification because “humane” pest control is extremely important to us. GorillaTraps® is a non-toxic and accredited humane alternative against rodents and therefore the “go-to” basic product against rodents. Poison? You can do without it!

Unbeatable - snap traps for rodents

Strike traps are still essential for effective pest control. Especially in areas where live traps make little or no sense, the Animal Welfare Act requires that a beater trap must meet important criteria. An important aspect is the avoidance of suffering of the animals.

If a beat trap is triggered prematurely by the so-called “lock”, it cannot be guaranteed that the mouse or rat is already completely or purposefully on the platform. Especially with rat traps it happened again and again that the animal was prevented from moving only with single limbs in the trap. Thus, the animal suffers unnecessarily and this, in turn, does not comply with the Animal Welfare Act.

NOW NEW - THE TRANSPARENT TRAP

Our transparent GorillaTraps® rat trap is based on a new concept in which we utilize the rats’ visual abilities to combat them. Combine the transparent trap with your conventional traps – so the rats can not escape you!

NARA® Stic

For effective monitoring, we have developed our NARA® Stic so that it fits perfectly into the GorillaTraps® snap traps.

Station for bait-shy mouse populations

RunBox Pro

The RunBox Pro is a high-quality run-through station for mice, whose tunnel design promotes strong acceptance and makes the use of traps safe. It offers reliable protection and a high level of safety both indoors and outdoors.

Ideal for
the walking routes

The running paths of the mice are normally always along the wall. Due to the limited view of the mice, they hardly perceive the station as an obstacle. The runbox is space-saving and also the only passage for the mouse. No matter which side the mouse comes in from; a catch is all but guaranteed.

WHICH EQUIPMENT

Municipalities and the public sector

Rats and pests under control in the long term

As a local authority, you bear responsibility for hygiene, safety and the environment. At the same time, the requirements for sustainability and documentation are increasing. Futura supports cities, municipalities, public utilities and special-purpose associations with non-toxic, digital and near-natural solutions for rodent control that can be integrated into existing structures and deliver verifiable effects.

Over 100,000+ IoT devices in use, with partners who trust us

Why municipalities need new approaches to pest control

Rat infestations in sewers, rodents in garbage dumps, pigeons and rodents in parks or on public buildings, plus stricter environmental regulations and increasing public awareness. Traditional sewer baiting with rodenticides is reaching its limits here, polluting the environment and the food chain and causing long-term costs with no lasting effect. Non-toxic, digitally supported strategies help local authorities to make infestations transparent, identify risks at an early stage and use resources in a targeted manner.

Typical fields of application in municipalities

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Our solutions are specially developed for sensitive industries such as food production, logistics and pharmaceuticals and can therefore be used in compliance with IFS. Non-toxic monitoring products such as NARA, mechanical systems such as Gorilla Traps and digital solutions such as eMitter meet the high requirements for hygiene, product safety and documentation. For individual special products, we provide individual advice to ensure that each system is a perfect fit for your certified environment.

Yes, all data from the emitter system is stored in an audit-proof, tamper-proof and fully traceable manner. Alarms, activities, controls and measures are automatically documented and can be exported as an audit-ready PDF report at any time. Emitter therefore makes it much easier to prepare for IFS audits, as trends, histories and individual events are transparent and can be fully documented.

In many IFS areas, a non-toxic approach is even mandatory or strongly recommended, as chemical baits pose a risk of contamination. With NARA baits, digital monitoring solutions and mechanical traps, almost all monitoring and control tasks can be covered completely toxin-free. In exceptional cases, such as high levels of external infestation, we supplement the concept in a targeted manner, but always in such a way that IFS specifications and internal QS guidelines are adhered to.

We support companies in selecting the right IFS-compliant systems, setting up monitoring points and optimizing existing concepts. Digital solutions provide immediately usable audit reports, trend analyses and complete documentation. You also receive best practices for bait plans, monitoring intervals and verification management. This means you are optimally prepared for every IFS audit and significantly reduce the risk of deviations.

We rely on emitters because they meet the highest standards of reliability, safety and cost efficiency and protect our environment by completely eliminating toxins.

Toxic-free IPM concepts for companies

Prevention, monitoring and measures without poison,
documented and scalable

Receive notification of infestation easily via app, PC or API

With networked traps, sensors and reporting, you can keep an eye on all locations, alarms are issued in real time and evidence for audits is available at all times.

Partners who trust us

Integrated pest control, designed to be non-toxic

IPM combines analysis, prevention, monitoring and targeted measures with the aim of detecting infestations at an early stage and resolving them without poison.

How a toxin-free IPM works

1st analysis:
Property inspection, risks, hotspots

We record the property structure, risks and hotspots, then prioritize areas with an increased probability of infestation. The result is a clear basis for measures and monitoring points.

2. prevention: structural and organizational measures

Structural, organizational and hygienic steps reduce the risk in the long term, such as sealing, storage and cleaning standards and access controls. The aim is to reduce the causes and prevent infestation.

3. monitoring: digital and analog controls, clear evidence

Digital and analog checkpoints continuously document activities, reports create transparency for QA and audits. Trends become visible and operations can be planned in a targeted manner.

4. measures & review: mechanical solutions, effectiveness control, adaptation

Mechanical solutions are used as required, results are reviewed and processes are adapted. We optimize the concept in regular reviews to ensure that effectiveness and efficiency remain high.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

An IPM concept combines all the components of integrated pest management, i.e. analysis, prevention, monitoring, measures and regular review. It starts with a structured inventory and risk assessment. This is followed by structural, organizational and hygienic prevention steps. Activities are identified and documented at an early stage with suitable monitoring points. If an infestation is confirmed, clearly defined measures take effect, the effectiveness is then checked and the plan is continuously optimized in the review.

In many areas of application, a completely toxin-free approach is realistic, especially if prevention, monitoring and mechanical solutions are implemented consistently. Whether toxin-free is possible in your property depends on usage, infestation pressure, legal requirements and audit targets. We clarify these framework conditions on site and recommend a solution that reliably combines safety, effectiveness and compliance.

The conversion time depends primarily on the size of the property, the number and location of the monitoring points and internal approvals. Small locations can be planned and rolled out in a short time. For larger areas or branch networks, the rollout takes place in clear stages so that operations and quality processes continue without interruption.

Activities at monitoring points are reported via defined workflows in the portal and in the app. Those responsible receive structured information about the event and can prioritize actions. In this way, checks are directed specifically to where action is actually required and all steps remain documented in a traceable manner.

Structured evidence of monitoring and measures is available for audits. They show which points were monitored, which events occurred and how they were responded to. This allows quality assurance and certification requirements to be transparently documented and audits to be significantly simplified.

Yes, the concept is designed for scalability right from the start. It works for individual locations as well as for branch networks. Monitoring points, processes and responsibilities are defined uniformly so that additional objects can be efficiently connected and centrally monitored later using the same scheme.

We rely on emitters because they meet the highest standards of reliability, safety and cost efficiency and protect our environment by completely eliminating toxins.

Ecological pest protection by birds of prey

Bird of prey perch

Our raptor perch is used for natural and poison-free control of rodents on your property or company grounds, as it encourages birds of prey to settle in the immediate area and provides them with a good vantage point for perching.

How the perch works

The bird of prey perch is a natural tool for controlling rodents on your property without using poisons.
Birds of prey, such as the buzzard or kestrel, mainly feed on rodents such as mice and rats. This makes them very suitable for pest control in large meadows, where the use of beater traps would not be very effective.

The right conditions must be present for the birds of prey to hunt their prey in the desired area. The perches allow the birds of prey a good vantage point from which to survey a large area and hunt their prey.

The ideal location

It is best to set up the perch in an open area so that the birds of prey can monitor as large an area as possible.
Also make sure that the perch is not too close to larger trees, as these will otherwise block the bird of prey’s view.

Mounting the perch

Why non-toxic?

There is no need to use rodenticides because the rodents are kept away by the natural hunting of the birds of prey.

Therefore, please avoid the additional use of poison baits and thus protect the birds of prey. Hunting poisoned pest rodents may otherwise cause secondary poisoning in raptors.

With the Emitter Pro app, you can keep an eye on installed traps and be notified immediately if there is any movement. The Emitter® PestCam delivers up to 5 photos per day directly to the app when movement is detected, and the camera also saves 20-second videos to an SD card; images can also be streamed to leading software systems via API.

Monitoring mode & 24/7 control

The Tubetrap can be remotely switched to monitoring mode via app or portal, in which movement is detected without triggering. With SIM card traps or gateways, 24/7 permanent monitoring of one to tens of thousands of traps worldwide is possible, eliminating the need for daily manual checks.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The devices are positioned precisely and registered using a QR code, the locations are created in the portal and the system is ready for operation in a short time.

IoT devices with a SIM card are used. Data transmission uses 4G IoT sub-standards Cat-M and NB-IoT as well as protocols such as HTTPS and MQTT. The data is stored on servers in Germany.

When triggered, defined recipients receive messages via app, e-mail or optionally via interface in the central system, including the location and information on the measure.

Regular routine inspections are greatly reduced; checks are carried out specifically after an alarm or after defined inspection intervals.

Encrypted transmission, role-based access concepts, EU hosting, GDPR-compliant processing, regular updates.

We rely on emitters because they meet the highest standards of reliability, safety and cost efficiency and protect our environment by completely eliminating toxins.

General Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

1 Basic provisions

(1) The following General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts concluded between us, Futura GmbH, represented by its managing directors Daniel Schröer and Sarah Abel, Nikolaus-Otto-Str. 22, 33178 Borchen, Germany, and you as the buyer for the delivery of goods that are not concluded by way of distance selling via our online stores. For digital products, the General Terms and Conditions for the Emitter® Cloud and the associated Service Level Agreement (SLA) also apply. We do not recognize any terms and conditions of the buyer that conflict with or deviate from these General Terms and Conditions and hereby expressly object to them. Deviating general terms and conditions of the buyer, supplementary agreements and/or collateral agreements are only valid if we expressly agree to them. The statutory provisions on the priority of individual agreements remain unaffected by this.

(2) We only offer our products for sale if you are a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity that is exercising its commercial or independent professional activity when concluding the legal transaction (entrepreneur). The conclusion of contracts with consumers is excluded.

2 Formation of the contract

(1) The subject of the contract is the sale of goods. The main features of the goods can be found in the respective offer.

(2 ) Upon request, by telephone or in text form, we will prepare an individual offer for you, which will be sent to you in text form and to which we are bound for 10 days (unless another period is specified in the respective offer). You accept the offer with confirmation in text form.

(3 ) The processing of the order and transmission of all information required in connection with the conclusion of the contract is carried out by e-mail, partly automatically. You must therefore ensure that the e-mail address you have provided to us is correct, that the receipt of e-mails is technically ensured and, in particular, that it is not prevented by SPAM filters.

3 Prices, terms of payment and shipping costs

(1) The prices quoted in the respective offer as well as the shipping costs are net prices. They do not include the statutory value added tax.

(2) The shipping costs incurred are not included in the purchase price; they are shown separately in the offer, unless free delivery has been agreed.

(3) If the delivery is made to countries outside the European Union, further costs may be incurred for which we are not responsible, such as customs duties, taxes or money transfer fees (transfer or exchange rate fees of the credit institutions), which are to be borne by you.

(4) Any costs incurred for the transfer of money (transfer or exchange rate fees of the credit institutions) shall be borne by you in cases where the delivery is made to an EU member state but the payment was initiated outside the European Union.

(5 ) Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the purchase price is due for the first order immediately upon receipt of the invoice by bank transfer in advance. For existing customers, the purchase is made on account with the agreed payment term. Payment shall be made by bank transfer to the account specified in the invoice. The deduction of cash discounts is only permitted if expressly stated in the respective offer or invoice.

(6) In the case of payment in advance, you shall be in default no later than 30 days after the due date and receipt of the invoice; in the case of purchase on account, you shall be in default upon exceeding the agreed payment term without the need for a further reminder. During the period of default, interest shall be charged on the purchase price at the applicable statutory default interest rate. We reserve the right to assert further claims for damages caused by delay. If you are a merchant, our claim to commercial maturity interest (§ 353 HGB) remains unaffected.

(7) You shall only be entitled to set-off rights, insofar as these are not counterclaims arising from the same contractual relationship, if your counterclaims have been legally established, are undisputed or have been recognized by us.

(8) For digital devices, the fees for the use of the Emitter® Cloud shall be invoiced separately in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for the Emitter® Cloud.

4 Terms of delivery

(1) Delivery dates and delivery periods are only binding if they have been confirmed by us in writing. If payment is made in advance by bank transfer, the goods will only be dispatched after we have received the full purchase price and the shipping costs.

(2) If, contrary to expectations, a product ordered by you is not available despite the timely conclusion of an adequate covering transaction for a reason for which we are not responsible, you will be informed immediately of the unavailability and, in the event of withdrawal, any payments already made will be refunded immediately.

(3) Partial deliveries are permissible and can be invoiced by us independently, provided that you are not charged additional costs for shipping as a result.

5 Liability for material defects

(1) The liability period for material defects is one year from delivery of the goods. The shortened deadline does not apply:

  • for culpably caused damage attributable to us arising from injury to life, limb or health and for other damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence,
  • insofar as we have fraudulently concealed the defect or have assumed a guarantee for the quality of the item,
  • for items that have been used for a building in accordance with their normal use and have caused its defectiveness,
  • in the case of statutory recourse claims that you have against us in connection with warranty rights.

(2 ) Only our own specifications and the manufacturer's product description shall be deemed agreed as the quality of the item, but not other advertising, public promotions and statements by the manufacturer.

(3) In the event of defects, we shall provide warranty at our discretion by repair or subsequent delivery. If the rectification of defects fails, you can demand a reduction in price or withdraw from the contract at your discretion. The rectification of defects shall be deemed to have failed after the second unsuccessful attempt, unless the nature of the item or the defect or other circumstances indicate otherwise. In the event of rectification of defects, we shall not have to bear the increased costs incurred by moving the goods to a location other than the place of performance, provided that the move does not correspond to the intended use of the goods.

6 Other liability

(1) We shall be liable for damages, irrespective of the legal grounds, within the scope of fault-based liability in cases of intent and gross negligence. In the event of simple negligence, we shall only be liable, subject to statutory limitations of liability (e.g. care in our own affairs, insignificant breach of duty), for

for damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health,

for damages arising from the breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfillment is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the contractual partner regularly relies and may rely); in this case, however, his liability is limited to compensation for foreseeable, typically occurring damages.

The aforementioned limitations of liability shall also apply to breaches of duty by or in favor of persons whose fault we are responsible for according to statutory provisions. They do not apply if we have fraudulently concealed a defect or have assumed a guarantee for the quality of the goods and for your claims under the Product Liability Act.

(2) You may only withdraw from the contract due to a breach of duty that does not consist of a defect if we are responsible for the breach of duty. In all other respects, the statutory requirements and legal consequences for withdrawal and compensation shall apply.

7 Right of retention, retention of title

(1) You may only exercise a right of retention insofar as it concerns claims arising from the same contractual relationship.

(2) We reserve title to the goods until all claims arising from the current business relationship have been settled in full. Prior to the transfer of ownership of the reserved goods, pledging or transfer by way of security is not permitted.

(3) You may resell the goods in the ordinary course of business. In this case, you hereby assign to us all claims in the amount of the invoice amount that accrue to you from the resale; we accept the assignment. You are further authorized to collect the claim. However, if you do not meet your payment obligations properly, we reserve the right to collect the claim ourselves.

(4) If the goods subject to retention of title are combined and mixed, we shall acquire co-ownership of the new item in the ratio of the invoice value of the goods subject to retention of title to the other processed items at the time of processing.

(5) We undertake to release the securities to which you are entitled at your request to the extent that the realizable value of our securities exceeds the claim to be secured by more than 10%. We shall be responsible for selecting the collateral to be released.

8 Choice of law, place of performance, place of jurisdiction

(1) German law shall apply to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

(2) The place of performance and jurisdiction shall be our registered office if you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. The same applies if you do not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or the EU.

This allows you to plan your measures quickly and easily and adapt them to any of your customers’ needs.

6. years Term

Equipped with SIM card (NB IoT and Cat-M), the cam offers up to 6 years of battery life, easily replaceable with standard batteries. More compact than a pack of cigarettes, waterproof and dustproof. Reliable rat protection for manhole covers

RatCap® - Rat stopper

Simply attaches to the dirt trap of a manhole cover and closes the gap through which rats from the sewer can reach the surface.

Case Study 2020

Berliner Wasserbetriebe is testing non-toxic alternatives for rat control

Sascha Kokles works as an operating engineer at Berliner Wasserbetriebe and deals with faults in the wastewater system, as well as odor problems, blockages and rat infestations. He coordinates measures against pests and handles complaint management. Together with Futura Germany, Mr. Kokles is testing poison-free and digital alternatives to classic toxic baits against rats.

Video 2:23 Min

Why the RatCap® is the better solution

“In a questionnaire survey conducted in 2008, 85% of the 508 communities, municipalities, and wastewater associations participating nationwide reported performing rat control in the municipal sewer system (Krüger and Solas 2010). Based on the survey results, the initiators of the questionnaire campaign estimated the quantitative use of anticoagulants for rat control in sewers in Germany at more than 630 t of bait per year.”

– Study by the Federal Environment Agency on water pollution with forestry pesticides

“It is becoming clear that feeding baits containing anticoagulant rodenticides that are not accepted by rats remain in the sewer system in many places after a control measure, greatly increasing the risk of the baits coming into contact with (waste) water and thus releasing the active ingredients into the environment, especially in stormwater and combined sewer systems. “

– Study by the Federal Environment Agency on water pollution with forestry pesticides

Frequently asked questions about the RatCap® (FAQ)

The RatCap® closes the approx. 5 cm wide gap between the dirt trap and the sewer, thus preventing rats from moving from the sewer to the outside to eat and back down again. Rats have been proven to use these paths to consume waste and food scraps in cities while we humans sleep and return to the sewer before the sun rises.
RatCap® is therefore a so-called IPM product. IPM stands for integrated Pest Management and describes the internationally recognized art of effective pest management through exclusion and co. So in German: we exclude rats, make the habitat inanimate and thus ensure that the population is naturally and biologically reduced and directly no more rats can occur on site near humans.

Pest cameras (PestCams) were installed in 25 sewer manholes for a period of 6 months. All kinds of baits were tried: Tox, Non-Tox (organic and synthetic), sausages, fruit, fruits, ham and many more. It showed: rats react “neophobic” and constantly rejecting any bait and thus cannot be caught/irritated with baits. Thus, this was proof that traps with bait, poison bait or similar did not work, which was already suspected by most professionals and cities. BUT: It showed that in over 90% of the manholes (urban, rural – so basically everywhere) the rats used the steps/ladders to climb up, jumped to the dirt trap, climbed out and returned a few hours later. When we then also set up cameras outside, we could observe that the rats were leaving the canal and looking for food outside – in the safety of the night.
No birds of prey, no humans – perfect for rats.
So thanks to this study and the same information from our first customers and co-developers of the RatCap®, such as BWB Berlin, we learned more about the animals’ behavior and decided that the easiest and most economical thing to do was to exclude the animals and thus control them biologically.

Rat Cap enjoys strong patent protection, so there will be no comparable products. In addition, Rat Cap has other patents, which allows us to build solutions in other countries, as well as for other types of manholes with other mechanisms. Tox bait, of course, clearly belong to the past. Not only because they are so harmful to the environment, but because any serious professional believes that 95% of the time they are not touched by rats. Even expensive automatic traps that cost over €500 or even €1,000 are not considered a viable alternative to the Rat Cap, which costs only €19.90 and lasts a very long time without changing batteries/traps.
The automatic traps have also been tested by many cities and it was found that although the trap reported that it killed 20 rats, the reality showed (validated with camera footage) that it was not rats, but in 90% of cases garbage or fecal remains.

RatCap® costs €19.90 and comes in a pack of 10 for €199.00. Volume discounts are also available for larger customers, cities or professionals.

RatCap® is made of PVC-coated stainless steel and should last at least 5-10 years in all weather conditions. We guarantee 2 years, but know that the first test units have been installed since 2019 and still look like new.

These are of course available on request from your customer advisor. 😊

We currently only offer RatCap® in Germany – for German DIN standardized gullies / manholes, but the way RatCap® works is patented worldwide, so we are currently working with large international companies (pest control companies) who want to launch the product in other countries with us.

We can’t talk about it publicly, but the largest company in Germany is probably BWB Berlin and BWB is practically a co-developer of RatCap® because its manager Sascha Kokles supported us from the very beginning and gave us tips – so we have developed RatCap® further in this respect and BWB is of course also a user of RatCap®. In addition, many cities and municipalities buy 1,000s of RatCaps® directly from us, as do pest controllers.
As RatCap® was only really launched in 2021, we expect the biggest rush in 2022 after a great start in 2021, which we were very excited about.

You can use them

Buy here or contact our customer service representatives.

Clearly the following breakdown:

  1. Bird of prey perches in nature preserves, open spaces, parks, and corporate areas around buildings.
  2. RatCap in the channels
  3. Nara for toxic-free, long-lasting monitoring in the channels
  4. Emitter Direct IoT rat traps with app in the ducts or dirt traps. For this purpose, we have also developed a self-tensioning device with a partner as well as a diving bell station that protects the technology. Thus, any number of rats can be caught in the channel and the info follows directly to the app
  5. PestCam pest camera for monitoring activity in isolated channels

Anything else would surprise us considering the results of the studies as well as the opinion of professional pest controllers. Poisons are not eaten by rats in 99% of cases (expert estimate) and are therefore – whether on a string or in a floating station – relatively pointless and are only used temporarily for about 5 years. Usage will decrease and IPM products such as RatCap, Nara and IoT traps will be used for this purpose.

Prevention is the key to successful and sustainable pest management.

Effective fragrance spray for rodent control

NARA® Spray

NARAr® Spray is a non-toxic, insect-resistant attractant that directs mice and rats to the trap or monitoring station – ideal for hygienic areas and all types of traps.

Allergen-free monitor

Allergen management is a well-known problem in many food businesses.

NARA® is the first allergen-free monitor developed specifically for this purpose.

Legislation and various food standards now prohibit the use of anticoagulants for monitoring purposes. Only if rodent activity is detected may anticoagulants be used under strict conditions.

NARA® Spray
Part of the NARA® series

Conventional detection monitors have a decisive disadvantage. For rodents, they serve as food, provide a longer life and increasing reproduction rate. In addition, most conventional monitors are prone to mold growth in humid areas. In other areas, they are often attacked by non-target organisms, such as rice flour beetles, cockroaches, silverfish, ants, snails, and moths.

Any monitors start to mold after a short time or become unattractive. The NARA® spray directs pests specifically to the trap or station while retaining its full effect. It is thus a promising instrument to use the station and the monitor again in the long term. Experts rely on NARA® Spray and can now act even more flexibly thanks to the variability of the two flavors.

An excellent duo:
Emitter® Pestcam and Nara® Spray

Monitoring at a high level

The combination of the Emitter® PestCam and the Nara® Spray enables the user to monitor even more efficiently. Targeted new stimuli can be set on trap or station, which attracts the pests.

For optimal monitoring, PestCam provides permanent pest monitoring. This allows pests to be identified in the shortest possible time, enabling the next control measures to be initiated more effectively.

Long-lasting monitoring block for traps

NARA® Stic

NARA® Stic is a non-toxic monitoring rod for snap traps – ideal for reliably detecting rodent infestations with bite marks. Thanks to its compact shape, it fits directly into traps and ensures safe, discreet monitoring.

NARA® Stic
Briefly explained

In the video, Daniel Schröer briefly introduces the NARA® Stic. Find out what makes the Monitoring-Stic unique and why it is part of modern monitoring.

Easy to use

Simply place NARA® Stic in untensioned snap traps for rat or mouse monitoring and detect activity before the rodents cause damage. Thus, conveniently, beat traps can also be used for poison-free monitoring. Already installed traps do not have to be removed and the entire station replaced, but simply supplemented with NARA® Stic. Based on the bite marks, you can spot an infestation in your trap or station and take steps to control the rodents.

Permanent monitoring - safe, efficient and AIB-compliant

AIB has officially confirmed that the non-toxic, allergen-free monitoring product NARA® Stic, Bloc and Spray meets the requirements of AIB International’s Consolidated Standards as it does not attract and feed other pests.

In addition, the GorillaTraps®, as a stand-alone product or in combination with the Emitter digital trap control system and NARA® products, meet the requirements of the AIB International Consolidated Standards.

Allergen-free monitor - for rat & mouse traps

Allergen management is a common topic in many food businesses.

NARA® is the first allergen-free monitor developed specifically for this purpose.

Various food standards as well as legislation now prohibit the use of anticoagulants for monitoring purposes. Anticoagulants may only be used under strict restrictions if rodent activity is detected.

Nara® Stic - So the monitor no longer becomes food

Conventional detection monitors have a decisive disadvantage. For rodents, they serve as food, provide a longer life and increasing reproduction rate. In addition, most conventional monitors are prone to mold growth in humid areas. In other areas, they are often attacked by non-target organisms, such as rice flour beetles, cockroaches, silverfish, ants, snails, and moths.

Any monitors become unattractive after a short time or start to mold. NARA® Monitoring Stic remains hygienic and retains its full attractiveness for up to 12 months. It is thus a worthwhile tool for placing an attractive monitor in a station in the long term. Professionals rely on NARA® Stic and can now act even more flexibly thanks to the variability of the 5 flavors.

No mold, no insect infestation

Nara® was developed with and for the food industry and professional pest control.
Organic bait varieties mold quickly, especially if they come into contact with water or moisture outdoors, which is almost unavoidable. After only a few weeks, they become very moldy and are no longer attractive to rodents, but the opposite: the rodents will never go to the station again. Nara® cannot mold and is still a perfect monitoring tool after more than a year. It is not uncommon for Nara® Bloc or Stic to still show fresh bite marks when checked after more than 12 months. In addition, Nara also can not be eaten by harmful insects, such as by beetles, cockroaches, ants and others.

NARA® is the professional choice for safe monitoring

Compared to organic baits, NARA is not eaten by harmful insects such as beetles, ants, cockroaches, etc.

NARA® Stic - in 5 attractive varieties

NARA® Stic offers unprecedented quality in 5 flavors: Meat, Fish, Chocolate Nut, Mango and Vanilla.

100% compatible with

GorillaTraps®

For effective monitoring, we have developed our NARA® Stic so that it fits perfectly into the GorillaTrapsr® snap traps.

Additionally combinable with our

Stations

Our stations are optimized for every area in which snap traps or monitoring are used.

"We are proud that we have been operating almost 100,000 Emitter Pro devices at leading end customers since 2010 with over 99.99% server availability, which is above the German cloud average. The long-range repeaters can reach up to 1,500 m to the gateways with SIM card, allowing you to connect an unlimited number of traps.

A true, dynamic professional system that works with 10+ different boxes such as Speed-Break, Snapbox and Runbox, as well as rat and mouse traps and transmitters for any size operation. You can choose to use transmitters without battery (with patented, kinetic energy generation) or with rechargeable battery (3+ years runtime, rechargeable), allowing you to expand the system as you wish. Due to the fact that there is only one SIM card in the central gateway, the total costs and running costs for Emitter Pro are very manageable and scalable."

Emitter® Direct 2.0

Emitter® Direct 2.0 is a stand-alone, digital snap trap solution with an integrated SIM card. It uses an app or online portal to reliably report the status of your trap – including catch, empty catch or release – around the clock and over long distances.

Over 100,000+ IoT devices in use, with partners who trust us

Made for any environment

IP69 water and dust resistance

Whether it’s 60°C in Dubai or -30°C in Finland, whether it’s water or dust: you can rely on Emitter Direct 2.0.

The perfect stand-alone solution

Emitter® Direct 2.0 is the perfect stand-alone solution for digital pest control. You can view the status of the trap at any time – either via the online portal or directly in the Emitter® Pro app. Here you will not only be informed whether the trap is cocked or triggered, but also get a daily sign of life. This so-called “motion technology” is unique worldwide and offers clear advantages: The transmitter automatically connects to the Emitter® Cloud. So you will always be informed about the status of the trap, regardless of your location. At the same time, the transmitter is energy-saving and does not trigger any false alarms.

Stand-alone mouse tunnel trap

Unique in the world: monitoring and trapping in one product.

The Tubetrap 2.0 is the perfect trap for sophisticated pest control: rodents are detected by a sensor and safely caught. Never miss a pest again and minimize your risk. Change the trap mode whenever and wherever you want. For example, in compliance with animal welfare legislation, from Monday to Friday on “catching” for the food industry and “monitoring” at the weekend.

The Emitter® Tubetrap 2.0 is our champion, equipped with the latest technology for maximum safety and long-term use.

Over 100,000+ IoT devices in use, with partners who trust us

Fewer manual checks, automatic documentation, audit-proof evidence at the touch of a button.

Our champion

Long battery life, up to 6 years

Our rechargeable batteries last up to 6 years, whether at +60°C or -20°C. You can swap the batteries in seconds. You can rely on our high-quality and tested batteries.

24/7 monitoring

Scan the QR code in seconds, spring the trap and you’re done. Thanks to secure MQTT transmission via the best network in the world, you can rely on us.

Humane trapping

Place digital box: One check per month – becomes 24/7 monitoring. To check the AI before you set off, you can look at the picture again and plan your service visit perfectly

Hygiene wall

The safe hygienic wall in the middle of the Tubetrap 2.0 separates the trapped rodents and their potential excretions from the user’s hand. This allows you to dispose of the rodents virus- and germ-free at a distance and activate the metal bracket. In addition, the check only takes a few seconds and is 100% safe (even for non-professional users in accordance with the IfSG).

Monitoring solution

The Tubetrap 2.0 can be switched to monitoring mode remotely using the Emitter app or the portal. In this mode, the trap only detects movement, but does not trigger.

“The portal also offers the function of automatically setting the monitoring mode at recurring intervals. This allows traps to be operated in “catch mode” from Monday to Friday, for example. At weekends, when no employee is on site to dispose of a trapped mouse within 24 hours, the monitoring mode still offers the option of detecting movements. This setting can be transferred to any number of Tubetraps.

Customized data transmission

You have a own software? No problemThanks to our secure API, we can also dock Emitter directly with you and integrate the information into your software solution. We have already demonstrated this in over 30 projects and support these solutions with our strong team worldwide.

runbox-smart

Catching mice and rats

With the Runbox Smart made of robust EPP, we have built a new box that accommodates the Tubetrap 2.0 and can also be used outdoors against rats and mice. The robust EPP box is extremely flexible and can also be used with our Emitter Cam or Emitter Direct rat trap as well as with analog traps or baits.

Active catching vs. monitoring mode

The Tubetrap 2.0 can be set to different modes via the app or the portal. Depending on the activity, the app notifies you with different status images to show you exactly what has happened with your trap: trap sprung, mouse caught, movement detected and more.

Pro tip: Many Tubetrap 2.0 customers use the monitoring function over the weekend, as during this time no employee can empty the traps in accordance with the law if rodents have been caught. Weekend mode can be set via the portal.

On freely selectable days, the TubeTrap 2.0 can be set to “PASSIVE” and detect and report rodent movements. Just like a PIR or motion detection sensor, only safer, thanks to proven emitter quality. This way you won’t miss any rodent activity. You can switch from active to passive via the app or online – no matter where you are. In the app, you will receive a message with a yellow information icon when a rodent is active, informing you of its movement.

When set to ACTIVE, the Tubetrap 2.0 strikes and actively catches rodents in compliance with animal welfare regulations. This is also our recommendation, as the following applies to most standards: “Catching is also a form of monitoring”. However, if you are unable to comply with the 24-hour monitoring rhythms (TSchG) at weekends or on public holidays, you can of course also schedule the monitoring function and enjoy complete security. The catch is displayed in the app with a red information icon.

Status information via LED

The TubeTrap 2.0 has a built-in LED that signals important trap status information in 4 different colors. For example, the LED flashes blue during the network search and shows you in green that it is active and connected.

The traps transmit the current status every 23 hours, regardless of this.
